How A Teenage Girl Who Gave An ‘Intimidating Look’ Was Sentenced To Up To 5 Years In Prison
Two new in-depth pieces on the Michigan criminal justice system and the problem of housing youth in adult facilities have been published . The articles use a girl named Jamie as an example of all of the problems facing youth in adult facilities and MCCD was able to provide insight into the issue of youth behind bars. These stories have garnered so much discussion that Russia Today TV did a story (see the video below) on the issue where MCCD’s Associate Director, Kristen Staley, was interviewed.
